Are you interested in a healthy weight loss diet and don’t want to starve or do low calories? If so then I will help you out as I’ll be discussing the healthiest weight loss diet you can find. The diet is called calorie shifting and as you’ll see its incredibly effective and easy to do as well. Healthy weight loss can be achieved using this effective fat loss diet.So it’s just another diet, why should I care? Its simple actually, you should care for these reasons.1. It’s easy to follow and continue. 2. Allows you to keep eating and actually drop some pounds while you’re at it. 3. It’s been proven to actually keep more weight off than any other diet when you come off the diet! 4. You actually burn more fat by eating, according to the guidelines of course.Ok sounds interesting? How does it work?To perform calorie shifting you need to follow a system of eating where you essentially confuse your metabolism so it is never quite sure when to stop burning fat. Its so effective because you are constantly changing what types of foods you eat and at which times of the day you eat them. You see when you eat the same foods everyday in the same routine even if they’re low calorie or low fat or any other common dieting routine you essentially reveal to your body what it is you eat on a daily basis and your body says “ok so I’ll increase your metabolism just enough at this point in the day and then shutdown so we can conserve those precious calories”.Yes its true, unless you do something out of the ordinary your bodies first impression is to conserve whatever it is you eat. However if you eat carbs one day for breakfast then fat the next day and then protein the next etc, your body doesn’t know whats going on, but it does know that it needs to keep the metabolism up because the calories coming in are too diverse and at times to great to just sit idle. So your metabolism gets boosted, and this continues at all times of the day. This sounds like it could get confusing to keep track of, but here’s the great news! There are calorie shifting software programs that do all the thinking for you. The exact food options available to you are displayed and you’ll know exactly what to eat at any time of the day without having to think at all!Lose 15 Pounds in Two Weeks by EATING MORE! There are so many diets today that claim to be a healthy weight loss diet. Yet there are experts who say that some of these diets actually encourage poor health. They say that only the future will tell if some of the diets have actually caused an increase in the risk of cancer and other deadly disorders.
Losing weight has become an obsession in many cultures, and for good reason. The number of obese people in the world has skyrocketed.
There are many reasons for this such as the change in diet around the world from whole foods to processed foods, the increase in the amount of sugar we eat each day, and the use of fluoride in water, toothpaste, and even in baby formula.
Did you know that fluoride was found to cause young mice to grow up lazy? About a decade ago one doctor did a study using newborn mice who were given fluoridated water to drink.
The mice grew up to be listless and lazy, preferring to just lie around all day instead of playing or moving around. This sounds like today’s children who prefer to sit in front of video games or TV instead of going outside to play and run around.
Today’s children could prefer to sit around for the same reason as the mice in the study. Fluoride is an ingredient in the popular soy baby products used by many unknowing parents. We might have been feeding our babies a product that caused them to grow up lazy and listless and fat!
What can be done? First, don’t feed your babies anything with soy in it. If at all possible, nurse your baby for the first year. This actually helps fight obesity and asthma, just to name two.
Second, if you don’t get water from your own well, call the water company and ask if they put fluoride in the water. If they do, then buy water that does not have fluoride.
Third, get you and your children on a healthy weight loss diet of reduced levels of sugar and fat. We are supposed to eat ten teaspoons of sugar each day (or less). One can of soda can have nine teaspoons, and many people (children included) drink several cans a day!
Also, eat more whole foods and less processed foods. Check the labels of processed foods for the fat content. If the grams of fat total more than 30% of the calories, don’t eat it. For instance, if a chicken strip has a fat content of 30 grams and 100 calories, then that would be 30%.
Fourth, have you and your children begin an exercise regimen. Don’t overdo it. Strenuous exercise can actually cause more harm than good by producing more free radicals in your system. Free radicals attack your healthy cells and can reduce your immunity to illness and disease.
The best exercise is moderate exercise using weights or some other resistance exercises. This builds muscle, which helps you burn more calories and increase insulin function (which helps you avoid diabetes). There are many side benefits resulting from moderate exercise.
Start by exercising about 30 minutes a day (ask your doctor’s advice if you have a medical condition). As you start to feel better, increase your exercise time to one hour a day.
By starting a healthy weight loss diet (that doesn’t necessarily mean eating less, just better foods) and exercising every day your body fat will diminish and your muscles will increase, resulting in you and your children being healthier, happier, and more energetic.

One of the most common obstacles for a person trying to lose weight is emotional eating. Munching down a bag of potato chips out of boredom, depression or even happiness can be a serious detriment to anyone’s weight loss efforts. It’s not easy to overcome because life is full of events that make us change our emotions. You could be a month into your healthy weight loss program and feeling very good about it, then all of a sudden you get downsized from your job. The first thing you do is become depressed and drive yourself to the grocery store to get a package of double stuff oreos. You know comfort foods like this will only make you more depressed in the morning, but you do it anyway. If you want to be the kind of person who leaves the cookies on the shelf and focus instead on turning negatives into positives, the 6 tips below can help you. Emotional Eating Tip #1: Be PreparedAs I said before, no matter what kind of life you have, there will always be something about to happen that will make you sad or happy. These moments must be expected and the solution approached with caution. What do you do when you see a speed bump in the road? You automatically slow down because you know the consequences. You were prepared because you expected it. Just like you read road signs when you drive, there are signs in life that will tell you when something is about to happen. Emotional Eating Tip #2: DistractionsWhenever you are overjoyed or depressed about something, have a list of activities ready to take your mind off emotional eating. Keeping your hands busy doing anything besides reaching into a box of Cheez-its, is going to help you overcome your shift in emotions without eating. For me it is closing myself off to the world and practicing my guitar, playing a video game, or going for a long walk with my Ipod. By the time I am finished with any of these activities, I have usually found a solution or at least have calmed down. Emotional Eating Tip #3: Drink A Bottle Of WaterThis does not sound like something you want to do when you are extremely happy or angry, but water fills you up and makes you feel more full. Anyone on a healthy weight loss program should have a bottle of water handy at all times anyway. When you feel the urge to eat off your program, drink the water. Trust me, it works like a charm. A lot of times people mistake hunger for thirst. Your mind might be tricking you and telling you that you need to eat, when you just might need a drink. Emotional Eating Tip #4: Determine What Is WhatDo you crave a bowl of Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey ice cream or do you just need someone to talk to? When you’re struggling with a craving or feel driven to eat mindlessly, stop and determine what you are feeling. Condition yourself to learn the difference between physical and emotional hunger. I crave eating junk food any time something good happens and when something bad happens I tend to avoid eating. But when I am truly hungry, I will eat healthy foods. Emotional Eating Tip #5: Focus On The Consequences Of Your ActionsIf you stop and think for a minute what that Hershey bar will feel like after you eat it, you might start building up the will power to put it down. You know you will feel bad emotionally because you threw your diet off track, so eat something healthy and get full on that instead. Think about how tomorrow you won’t even remember the taste of it. Maybe that will make you want to eat the carrots instead. Emotional Eating Tip #6: Eat In The Same PlaceRemember the kitchen table? You know that piece of furniture that your monthly bills are usually scattered over? Clear it off and make a promise to yourself to only do your eating there, with no distractions like the tv, radio or newspaper. I know this is the age of multi-tasking, but  a lot of emotional eating occurs when we are distracted. Mindless eating in front of the tv is the worst, especially when it is done late at night. No matter what kind of life you have, there will always be problems, even people who are in great physical shape. They may be able to arrive at their problems looking slim and trim, but they have just as many obstacles as a person struggling to lose weight. No matter who you are, you must work your emotions by expecting these obstacles. By stopping emotional eating, you can eliminate about half of the obstacles people face trying to lose weight. There are a lot of healthy weight loss for kids programs out there. You just have to look. Kids nutritional needs are different than those for adults, yet kids learn from watching their parents about what is nutritious and what isn’t. When they see us struggling with our weight, they may struggle with it as well.
We need to set a good example as parents. All the pressures of school and friends don’t go a long way to helping the weight situation. Some kids are too thin while others are too fat. So let’s talk about kids who need to lose a little or a lot of weight and ways that you, as a parent, can help them along that road.
We all know that the weight gain doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to pack on those pounds and it’s going to take just as much time to lose it. It would be nice to just snap our fingers and have the weight magically disappear. But unfortunately it doesn’t happen that way, we actually have to work at it. No one can change their body image unless they are willing to do the work.
There are many ways to help kids lose weight. Get involved in a family sport or any physical activity. Maybe a family exercise session. It doesn’t have to be a competition or any type of rigorous activity. Start out slow and build up to a faster pace. Take a walk before or after dinner. If you walk before dinner, you will eat less at the meal. If you work out afterwords, the body burns off some of that stored fat. The key is to make it fun.
For kids, exercise has to be fun. If it feels like a chore, they will quickly become frustrated and not want to ge involved. Try playing some kickball or volleyball in the backyard. Take a few laps in the pool. Each of these activities burns calories and gets the heart rate up. That’s a good thing. Kids can get involved with these activities and improve their weight and self esteem. It’s all part of healthy weight loss for kids. Exercise is good.
Most schools across the country have a gym class as part of their daily curriculum. Actually in many schools it is a requirement to take a gym class. When you are in a gym class five days a week it can help shed pounds and trim the waistline in no time. In class when everyone has to participate, there is no pressure on your child to be singled out.
I think the hardest part of losing weight for kids is the food. They love to eat and eat, especially the junk food. Kids think they are invincible and that extends to their body. They think they can put anything into their mouth and still be healthy but that’s not true. What you put in your mouth will determine how your body will feel.
High fiber foods will go straight through you but not before grabbing a little fat on the way. The foods that digest slower, like complex carbohydrates, keep the body fueled for a longer period of time, which is what you want. When your kid grabs a snack from the vending machine, the sugar gives them a rush for about an hour and then they feel wiped out, like they just ran a marathon.
Try to get your kids into eating healthier snacks like celery, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and all sorts of different fruit. Try to have an assortment of washed and cut up veggies on hand. Keep them in a tupperware and ready to go in the fridge so that they are easy and convenient for the little munchkins when they are hungry. Don’t forget to pack it in their lunches so that they can munch on the bus or as they walk home. Veggies can be eaten with low calorie dressings and dips to make them taste better.
So get your kids moving. Just remember as you work on the exercise portion of weight loss don’t forget about the healthy food. Teach them how to make smart choices and how important it is that they do so. Eat healthy and by doing so yourself, your children begin to make healthier choices that will serve them well for life. Don’t forget healthy weight loss for kids incorporates food and exercise. They both work together. Learn about a revolutionary new diet system and eating program that will make you lose weight WITHOUT restricting your diet to low fat or low carb foods, rather eating the right calories. Healthy Weight Loss Tips

January 12, 2010 by weightloss

The most successful, healthy weight-loss plans will require you to eat healthier and do regular exercise to help you lose weight and maintain your new figure. Supplements, diet pills, eating plans and exercise equipment on their own will not help you lose weight and keep it off long-term, unless you are dedicated to changing your lifestyle for the better.
According to the American Obesity Association, by losing a small amount of weight – around 5 -10 percent of your initial weight, you can reduce the risk of serious health problems like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure arthritis, respiratory disease and even some forms of cancer. Just imagine losing even more weight than this. The benefits and change in your life would be dramatic. But, how do you lose weight the healthy way and benefit from all the health related changes that come with losing weight the best way?
Weight-loss Programs (diets) – Healthy weight-loss programs combine eating nutritional foods with regular exercise to help encourage the body to convert stored fat in the body into glucose to act as fuel, so you are not only losing weight, you have more energy. Often, people get into the bad habit of yo-yo dieting, which is the act of losing weight, then gaining it right back and then start dieting again. By learning a healthy, easy-to-stick eating and exercise plan over a traditional diet, you will not only lose weight the healthy way, you will notice a raise in self-esteem, improved health and learn to keep weight off long term.
The only way that the body can lose weight is to burn more calories than your body is taking in. Do not make the mistake of thinking that just because you need to eat fewer calories, you have to eat less food. Healthy eating plans are all about educating yourself on which foods can be eaten in large amounts and which foods must only be eaten in small portions. But, most of all, it is important to remember that when you are losing weight the healthy way, you never need to starve yourself or go hungry. You just need to learn what different foods do to the body.
Some very popular diets these days are the South Beach Diet, the Mayo Clinic Diet and the Cabbage soup diet.
Weight-loss Supplements – there are many supplements available for those who are changing to a healthier lifestyle and want to have some extra nutrition or want a little help along the way. Just remember that no matter how good a supplement is, it will not take the place of proper nutrition and exercise. Diet pills are made to complement your weight loss goals while using a logical eating plan, as well as regular activity.
Vitamin and mineral supplements have become popular over the years to help our bodies get the vitamins and minerals that are lacking in the soil our foods are grown in. Many vitamins and minerals are great complimentary practices and will help to give you energy and an overall feeling of well being, as well as assist in the shedding pounds process.
Some well known diet pills are Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) pills, Phentermine (prescription), and Hoodia Gordonii.
A word of caution, before taking any supplement, make sure that you read the label carefully and speak to your doctor first if you are currently on any medications or suffer from any illnesses. How many times have you started a “supposed” healthy weight loss diet only to find yourself going back to your old eating habits a week later? You have good intentions, but every diet seems to limit what you eat to bland salads and tasteless fat-free versions of your favorite foods. You get to the point where you feel like this isn’t the kind of lifestyle you want for yourself, so you revert back to the foods that make you happy. If this has ever happened to you, don’t feel bad. Lots of people go through the same experience, myself included. I spent $2,000 on Nutri-Systems only to lose 60 pounds and gain 80 pounds right back. I got so tired of eating that cardboard tasting food they have, that I went right back to eating the same foods that made me put on the weight in the first place. What was missing was eating real food that did not give me the feeling that I was on “diet” and making the decision to lead to a healthy lifestyle. I finally lost that 70 pounds about 15 years ago and have kept it off ever since, and I can eat cheesecake as a desert choice on top of it! Why did it work that one time and not all the others? Because I realized that I needed to live a healthy lifestyle beyond making smart choices about food on a daily basis. No, cheesecake is not a smart choice for weight loss. But it doesn’t matter as long as I’m not eating it at every meal! Basically it all comes down to proper nutrition. When you give your body the right nutrients on a daily basis, even if it’s just for one meal, it allows you to cheat on occasion. No, I cannot eat cheesecake 3 times a day and expect to stay slim and fit. No one can unless you are under 20 and can burn calories faster than you can eat. But as you get older and your metabolism slows down, it does not mean you have to get fat. It just means you have to change your way of thinking and adopt a healthy lifestyle. My weight loss and ideal weight maintenance is the direct result of several choices I make on a daily basis, but it all started with one soy-based protein meal replacement shake. Skeptical as I was, I tried it and it worked because it had a money-back guarantee. The reason it worked was because it provided my body with 2,000 calories worth of proper nutrition in only 200 calories. That means that I would have had to eat a huge meal to get all the nutrients I got in the one shake. At first, I replaced two meals a day. Then, once I reached my ideal weight, I switched to just replacing one meal. Since I knew this was the best nutrition possible, I choose to have my shake in the morning because my body has been working hard all night processing what I ate during the day and needs to be able to get instant nutrition. This is not possible by eating ham and eggs for breakfast.  This has allowed me to eat sensibly throughout the day as I wish, and then splurge for dinner if I want to. Just as long as I go back to my nutritious shake every morning, everything works out fine. I know what you are thinking…you have to spend the rest of your life drinking a bland protein shake every morning for breakfast? The answer to that question is yes…and no. First of all, the shake comes in many flavors and can be prepared lots of different ways…and it tastes delicious! Most people skip breakfast…I drink a smoothie instead. Once you get the right nutrition in your body, you begin to feel so good that you can’t imagine starting off a day any other way. Remember when I said losing weight and keeping it off for good requires making healthy lifestyle choices? This shake I take every morning is one of them. Another is 30 minutes of cardio-vascular exercise every day. Just like drinking the shake, this became just as routine in my schedule as watching tv every night. It is possible to lose weight without exercise, but when you add it into the mix you are doing yourself a huge favor. Notice how I have not said anything yet about counting calories or weighing myself? That’s because it’s not necessary when you feed your body proper nutrition on a daily basis. Those are things that yo-yo dieters focus on and they never lose weight. They would rather follow fad diet and after fad diet to try to take the easy way out…but it’s not so easy is it? Cheaters never prosper and it’s no different for losing weight. You must learn to develop and healthy lifestyle. Diet and fat free versions of your favorite foods are often worse than the fatty versions because they are not natural. Anything all-natural is a smarter choice than something altered for the sake of convincing you to buy it for weight loss. The key is moderation. Part of living a healthy lifestyle is realizing you do not need to eat pizza and fettucini alfredo every time you sit down for a meal. It all comes down to making intelligent decisions about what you eat and how often you eat it. In order for you to lose weight and keep it off for good without constantly being on a diet, you have to decide that you need to develop the mindset of a person living a healthy lifestyle. Start with getting proper nutrition into your body, then begin making small daily choices in the right direction with exercise and food. Soon you will realize that a diet is nothing more than something that used to hold you back. Variety is the spice of life, and being content with living a healthy lifestyle is achievable when you can think outside of the box. When you are on a healthy weight loss program, the experience can get a bit bland sometimes if you don’t use your creativity to find ways to mix it up. Too many people quit before they give themselves a chance to find happiness with making healthy decisions on a daily basis. When it comes right down to it, there are things that you must do on any healthy weight loss program. The most important thing is proper nutrition. For me, it is in the form of a hot cup of green tea followed by a soy-based protein drink and vitamins every morning. That is how I lost over 70 pounds 15 years ago and that is how I have maintained an ideal weight ever since. What keeps me going outside of that? Variety! Once you have a firm grasp of what it takes to lose weight, you can begin using that knowledge to find different ways to get the same results. That way you are not eating the same meals and exercising the same way at the same times every single day. It’s great to have a routine, but if you don’t have variety, things can get very bland very fast. Here are 3 steps to help you add Variety to your healthy weight loss program. Step #1: Stick With What You EnjoyYou will never stick with something unless you find ways to include the things you love to do. If eating pizza is something you love, then you should not feel like you have to eliminate it just because it won’t help you lose weight. Pizza and other junk food is fine if it is eaten occasionally. Set weight loss goals to reward yourself once or twice a week with foods you love that might not have the greatest nutritional value. Just don’t eat them every day! Since exercise is a vital part of living a healthy lifestyle, adding variety in into your workouts is also beneficial. Not only does it allow you to avoid boredom, you’ll also avoid injuries and plateaus as well. Make the routines of your favorite exercises fun and filled with a variety of movements. Doing the same routines and movements over and over again won’t keep your mind interested or your body proportioned properly. I alternate between jogging, bicycle riding and roller skating. Step #2: Be creativeOnce you have a firm grasp of the kinds of foods that make a healthy weight loss plan successful, be creative with them. The soy-based protein shake I eat every morning comes in powder form. You don’t think I drink the same flavor every day, do you? I use my creativity to invent new recipes. The same thing happens with meals. Nothing is worse than trying to learn how to eat better by always having to choose the same kind of food prepared the same exact way. The same goes true for the exercise part of your healthy weight loss program. I mentioned that I alternate between different activities during the week. One way I add creativity to it is by choosing different routes and different distances. I also work out with different friends and listen to different music on the days when I exercise alone. Don’t limit yourself to a gym either. Get outside and appreciate your surroundings. There is a lot to see out there! Step #3: Stay CuriousNo matter who many different foods there are to eat, there is always something you have never tried. Whether it’s the way something is prepared or a tropical fruit you’ve never heard of, being curious about trying new things will always help you add variety to your healthy weight loss program. What happens when you are curious about something you have never tried? You either like it or you do not…but you’ll never know unless you keep an open mind and learn to trust your curiosity. There are so many advantages to being curious when it comes to exercise. It is the only way to build new muscles you never knew you had, develop new skills and meet new friends to work out with. If you have ever seen someone do something that you do not think you would like, just try it for sure and then decide. You might find that it’s something you enjoy enough to add into your mixed bag of exercises just for the sake of having even more variety. Sticking to a healthy weight loss program is extremely difficult without variety. If it was an easy thing to do all by itself, everyone would be walking around healthy and thin. But it is not. It takes a certain kind of mindset to reach your goals and if you are afraid of giving up out of the sake of boredom, it is time to add a little variety into the mix. Follow the three steps above and you will probably find yourself so busy trying new things that you will forget you are even trying to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle. In order to achieve healthy weight loss and keep it off for good, the most important thing to remember is you are what you eat. You have heard that a million times I’m sure, but it’s the absolute truth. If you eat nothing but junk food, you will be a walking example of bad health. Sad but true, but the good news is that it works the same way when you lead a healthy lifestyle. Most people don’t understand how they woke up one day and suddenly found themselves fat and lethargic. That’s because poor food choices made on a daily basis is something that creeps up on you. One cheeseburger won’t kill you, but one cheeseburger every day plus all those fries that are also OK to eat with them add up. There is no magic pill that will ever be invented to allow you to eat garbage without it taking a toll on your body. If you want to achieve healthy weight loss and keep it off for good, you have to lead a healthy lifestyle and there is no other way around it. You do not have to give up the junk foods you love, but you do have to limit your consumption and replace them with choices that coincide with your plan of action. Here are 6 fat burning foods that should help you with your healthy weight loss goals.  Healthy Weight Loss Food #1: Soy ProteinProtein takes a lot of effort for the body to break down and digest…even more than fat. So while your body is working hard to process that protein, you’re burning calories. The best type of protein for healthy weight loss is soy-based. A soybean is the closest thing you can get to a magic weight loss pill. I start every day with a soy-based protein shake to ensure I am getting the best nutrition money can buy…and I don’t miss the donuts and bagels one bit! Healthy Weight Loss Food #2: Whole GrainsBelly fat is not attractive or healthy on anyone, and whole grains can really go to work on that stubborn flab around your midsection. One of the most efficient ways to get whole grains into your diet is through supplements because you don’t have to eat tons of oatmeal to get the your daily requirement. (Even though a bowl of grape nuts with fresh strawberries and blueberries every once in a while is hard to resist!) Healthy Weight Loss Food #3: GrapefruitYou have to have grown up in a cave far away from civilization to not have been told that Vitamin C is good for you. Along with the powerful antioxidant benefits, this vitamin helps burn fat. The next time you’re looking for a cool snack on a hot day, dig into a juicy grapefruit. It will help to lower insulin levels, which keeps you from being hungry all the time! Too sour? Sprinkle it with Splenda (not sugar). The goal here is to lose weight. Healthy Weight Loss Food #4: Green TeaGreen tea is the first thing I drink in the morning when I wake up, and I usually drink another cup in the afternoon just because of its awesome health benefits. This superdrink helps us lose weight by raising our metabolism, which will burn off calories faster than you ever imagined. Hot or cold, don’t let a day go by without using it to your healthy weight loss advantage. Fat Burning Food #5: WaterOK…it’s not really a food, but it’s important to drink lots of water if you’re trying to burn fat. This is the ingredient that people miss the most. Your body can’t work effectively if it’s dehydrated, so it’s extremely important to keep a bottle of water with you at all times. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it and thank yourself when you do. And no, soda pop (regular or diet) is not a healthy alternative. Healthy Weight Loss Food #6: ApplesAn apple a day keeps the doctor away. Why don’t we ever listen to what we are told when we are kids? Apples and other water-rich fruits will make your diet plan more effective. The pectin contained in apples limits how much fat your cells can absorb. How awesome is that?! Plus, it’s a naturally soluble fiber, which is always good. Forget about counting carbs and calories in packaged snacks. Just grab an apple. As you can obviously tell, there are many food options we tend to overlook on our journey to a healthy weight loss. Most people focus on trying every new product they see advertised on tv without remembering that it’s always good to just stick with the basics. People 2, 3 and 4 decades ago did not have the technological advances we have today, and obesity was practically unheard of. Think about what they ate, and think about what you eat. For things to change, you have got to change. The worst thing a person can do when they lose weight is revert back to their old eating habits that got them fat in the first place. Dodging the lure of fat, sugar and other appetite triggers is just as important as making healthy choices when you decided to lose weight. Healthy weight loss is an accomplishment worth celebrating, but if you choose to do it by going back to junk food, you’ll find yourself fat again…and fast! You might be suprised to know that certain foods you may think are healthy are the same foods that can sabotage all of your healthy weight loss efforts. If you want to keep that slender figure you worked so hard for, you must lead a healthy lifestyle and stay away from the following foods. Healthy Weight Loss Sabotage Food #1: Trigger FoodsEating certain foods will make you even more hungry. These appetite stimulating foods are designed to make you want to devour a whole box, package or bag in one sitting. Remember the slogan for Lays potato chips? If not, it went like this: You can’t eat just one! That is nothing but the absolute truth, twisted to their benefit, but true! Chips, and any food that has been stripped of its fiber turn to sugar quickly in the body, hit your bloodstream rapidly and cause your blood sugar to soar sky high. In response to that sugar surge, your body churns out so much that it drives your blood sugar below where it was before you ate anything. When blood sugar is low, you feel hungry and in need of more of the same kind of food. Healthy Weight Loss Sabotage Food #2: High Fat and Sugar FoodsChoosing to eat foods with high sugar and fat content can wreak havoc on your attempts to manage your weight. Ever eat a donut and wonder why you feel tired a half hour later? When a food contains both fat and sugar, as many trigger foods do, it provides a rush and then lets you down even lower than before you took your first bite. Natural foods like fruits and vegetables are digested more slowly and will cause fewer spikes in your blood sugar. This is something that you will have to really make a conscious effort to do. It’s a lot easier to grab a doughnut at the office than it is to pack a snack bag full of carrots. However, once you train yourself to lose your fat and sugar tooth, you will be in better control of your cravings. Healthy Weight Loss Sabotage Food #3: Animal ProductsContrary to popular belief, the protein found in animal products will not satisfy your hunger drive. Beef, poultry, pork, and fish contain exactly 0% carbohydrates. If you lost weight on a high protein diet sourced by animal products, you are not getting enough unrefined carbs, responsible for triggering your brain to tell you when to stop eating. This is not a good thing when it comes to animal products. Animal products, even the lean ones, contain artery-clogging, disease-causing saturated fat and cholesterol. Animal meat can quickly hike up those fat calories just like most dairy products, sabotaging weight loss and weight maintenance. Want to get lots of protein without all the side effects of animal products? Try anything with soy. It’s all-natural and the healthiest choice for maintaining an ideal weight. Healthy Weight Loss Sabotage Food #4: CheeseBecause dairy products are packed with fat, they are your enemies in the weight loss game. Most cheeses are 70% fat or more, and fat-free version is probably loaded with a whole bunch of preservatives that make it unhealthy. Animals get their calcium for strong bones and teeth from plants, so why shouldn’t people do the same.? Unrefined plant foods contain all the nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and micro-nutrients you need, including calcium. Nature is smart for our benefit. Healthy Weight Loss Sabotage Food #5: AlcoholNot only does alcohol contain extra calories that you don’t get from choosing other drinks, but it also triggers the desire to eat snack foods. These two work hand in hand. Why do you think bartenders set bowls of free pretzels and peanuts out for their customers? Because the more you eat these salty, unhealthy foods, the more you want to drink, and vice versa. Do yourself a favor and keep your alcohol consumption to the occasional drink every few months. Healthy weight loss and maintenance doesn’t work for most people because they are unwilling to change their lifestyle. It is not an easy thing to do, but it’s a must if you want to get off the emotional and physical roller coaster of yo-yo dieting. Once your weight is off and you are making healthy eating decisions on a daily basis, you won’t even want to revert back to your old habits. All that is required is a strong enough desire and a commitment to follow through. For things to change, you’ve got to change. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of eating breakfast. People who take time for a morning meal consume fewer calories over the course of the day, have a stronger desire to exercise, and are less likely to be overweight or obese. People who skip breakfast are more likely to snack on junk food throughout the day, and overindugle on fatty meals for lunch and dinner. If you are thinking about devising a healthy weight loss plan of action, think breakfast! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You have probably heard this many times, and it’s true. Even the name says it all. It is meant to break the fast you give your body from not eating since you put your head down on the pillow the night before. How you eat when you wake up in the morning dictates how your day will go. If you are trying to implement a healthy weight loss program, eating a healthy breakfast makes the difference between success and failure. Just because breakfast is the most important meal of the day doesn’t grant you permission to go into a feeding frenzy. That’s exactly what Americas most popular breakfast restaurants are setting you up for, so make a conscious effort not to buy into it. They peddle fatty scrambled eggs, sugary muffins and donuts, and pancakes covered with enough syrup and whip cream to launch your blood sugar level up into outer space. Foods loaded with unhealthy fats, added sugars, and refined carbohydrates are not how you want to start your day, especially when you are trying to have a healthy weight loss. They zap your energy levels so you will feel lathargic, and tell your body to store fat instead of burning it. To help you avoid these morning mishaps, fill your cupboards with the following foods to ensure a successful and healthy weight loss. Healthy Weight Loss Breakfast Food #1: Soy-Protein ShakeThis is how I lost 70 pounds 15 years ago and have kept it off ever since. Imagine getting 2,000 calories worth of nutrition for about 180 calories without the fat and sugar. It’s the closest thing you can get to diet magic, and it’s the best way to begin every day. What happens when your body gets the right nutrition? It begins to heal itself in ways you never thought possible. Nothing on any restuarant breakfast menu is going to offer good health like that. Healthy Weight Loss Breakfast Food #2: Green TeaMaking sure you are well hydrated is an important part of breakfast, so why not give your body the best liquid possible? Unplug your coffee maker and find a different route to work that doesn’t pass by a Starbucks. One cup of green tea every morning will give you enough energy to last an entire day, and you will not get the jitters like you might from coffee. Want to know the best part about green tea? It helps your body actually speed up your metabolism! Try finding that weight loss benefit in a fatty, over-priced latte. Healthy Weight Loss Breakfast Food #3: OatmealRemember when you were a kid and your mother made you eat oatmeal instead of your favorite cereal? That’s because it was healthy…and it still is, no matter how you prepare it. OK, so you can’t dump tons of sugar on it and make it taste like Apple Jacks, that’s a given. But you can sweeten it with fresh fruit or cranberries and raisins to enhance the taste. Just because you are older now and can make your own decisions doesn’t mean your mother wasn’t right. Healthy Weight Loss Breakfast Food #4: Scrambled Eggs With Vegetables & SteakSo you say you want to splurge sometimes and eat a real American breakfast like the kind you get at a truck stop? I hear you loud and clear. There’s nothing wrong with wanting that…if you want to gain weight. How do you do it while sticking to your healthy weight loss plan? Be creative. Make yourself an egg beater omelet with fresh vegetables and lean meat. Just because a truck stop wants to serve you certain food in a greasy way doesn’t mean you can’t eat te same thing in a healthy way. Healthy Weight Loss Breakfast Food #5: Fresh Fruit With GranolaRemember that recent high-protein low-carbohydrate diet fad that came and went faster than you could say Atkins? No one is on it anymore, and no one is thinner or healther because of it. Don’t ever let anyone convince you that something like a fresh apple is bad for you. Your body needs carbohydrates and there are few healthier sources than fruit and granola. It makes a great substitute for high sugar cereals. If you can sprinkle some protein powder on top of it, it’s an even better way to start your day. So there you have it…5 of the best breakfasts you can eat for losing weight in a healthy, natural way. It’s not easy to change your taste pallete, but try these suggestions little by little as replacement for the high fat, high sugar choices that made you gain weight. Living a healthy lifestyle is essential for healthy weight loss, and choosing to eat smart for breakfast is the first step in the right direction.
